It's been this long, long line for over an hour now. I used to come here regularly because of the Avis preferred counter, but apparently that is no more.
So, the question is, why the hell would you assign only one overworked staff member when you know the reservation schedule ahead of time and could, I don't know, assign more people so that people can actually pick their cars up on time and not an hour later???
And if there is no Avis preferred line, then don't advertise it.
You charge customers an arm and a leg when we bring in our car late, or the gas is a little low but yet you make us wait for an hour, or give us a car that isn't fully ready without any repercussions. Talk about double standards!!
Second time using this particular Budget Car Rental. 1st time in '14 and again this past weekend. Very nice and great car. I always rent to get home to Western Mass. See you again next time I visit!
Fast (enough) service - it helps that they are never super busy when I go (mid-week afternoons). They have easy pick-up , easy drop-off. I recommend paying ahead of time it cuts out a lot of the time picking up. The location is easy to get in/out of and there is a gas station just down the street for fill-ups.
What was worse was their ability (or actually inability) to get their act together. There was one guy behind the counter who insisted on hiding behind his computer and doing nothing. No updates on when they expected to get the cars. And when they finally did get the cars the cars weren't fully cleaned or topped up.
Totally unorganized and clueless. Went on a Sunday morning to pick up a rental I had made days before. There were two guys in front of me who had been there for about 45 minutes. Turns out they didn't have any cars. How does that happen?
